When I was building my own business, most days felt like survival.
I was doing everything — accounting, sales, hiring, training, solving customer issues — just trying to hold things together long enough to reach the end of another day. Some moments were rewarding, but looking back, it was far harder than it needed to be.
Entrepreneurship can be incredibly lonely. Your family supports you, but they don’t truly understand the weight you’re carrying. Your team sees the pressure, but they often don’t realize how much harder their problems make the day. And most owners don’t have anyone they can really talk to — someone who can help cut through the noise and make sense of everything piling up in their head.
As the years went on, I realized I couldn’t do everything myself. But letting go felt dangerous. Every time I loosened control, something seemed to break, so I held tighter — like many owners do.
After fourteen years, I sold the business and finally had the chance to step back and reflect. That reflection led to my first consulting engagement… and that’s when something clicked.
I realized the struggles I went through weren’t just my story — they were the story of thousands of business owners. And more importantly, I realized I could genuinely help them avoid the hardest parts by sharing what I had learned the hard way.
